Ryan GRADUATED!!!!!! I am soooo proud of him! He has worked so hard and did a great job!

President Monson received an honary Doctorate in Humanities from Weber State and was the guest speaker for Graduation. He did a wonderful job! The whole First Presidency showed up to support him.

Way to go Ryan! We are all so proud of you!

2010

This year is bound to be a good one… 2009… not so fun (broken collar bone, new job, Ryan way busy with school, etc). Already, there seems to be a lot to look forward too. Last night, just to keep it all straight I had to get a calendar and start to map it out (I have turned into my mom:). A few highlights will be…. (in no particular order…)

1. New Nephew! Jon and Julie are going to have their baby this week!

2. Ryan will have surgary…not that going under the knife will be fun… but it has been bothering him for a long time and it will be good to get it fixed.

3. Mom and Dad will go to England! Whoohoo!

4. My birthday is right around the corner…

5. Michael comes home!

6. Ryan Graduates! (YES!)

7. Trip to Havasu (I’ve been promising Mike a trip when he gets back…now we are finally going to get to go!)

8. Lotoja…I know we are not in yet…but if we do get in…we will be ready!

9. RAGNAR (Jon is going to be running! Way excited to see that first hand!)

I am going to try to take more pictures this year… I am terrible at documenting the moment… I would rather enjoy it. But as i get older… I am realizing… I don’t remember any of it unless I have a photo…So Hopefully I will post some more updates with pictures. Happy New Year everyone!

Fall

Sorry Guys…. I cant figure out how to edit these images… so you just got a run down of our fall (and some fluke pics…). Fun stuff going on detailed below.

1. We went out to Little Britain with Dad and Mom for their B-Days (Dads way late and Moms early). The food was great and it was a lot of fun to hear Dad talk about Britain.

2. Dressing up and Halloween Parties. I dont have pictures of the Haunted Yard…. But see Dave and Rachels blog for details.

3. Jazz Game with Summer and Dave! (Thanks for the tickets guys! We had a blast! – Check out Dave getting high five’s from the whole team….)

4. Mountain Biking! We have had some awesome weather! Basin has had a blast!

I could not figure out how to add this like Cris instructed on the Stampede website… but I wanted to show our support of the club! We love NorUT Stampede! It is so much fun to have a group of people we can run with! Thanks Cris for always organizing it! And if you have not made it to a run… you really need to come! We have so much fun!

So this last week was my birthday… yes week. It was totally awesome - between my family and Ry’s my B-Day lasted from February 15th – 22nd. I had such a great time with family, wonderful food and great presents. Thank you so much everyone for being so thoughtful, fun and sweet. I really appreciated everyone’s B-day wishes…it made turning 26 (downword slide to 30) a blast!

The other night, I was awake in bed. Ryan and fallen asleep so fast – he had spent the day snowboarding and then went running with me that evening… He was tuckered. As I lay on his chest I thought… “I wish I could just freeze time – If I could just stay with him; like this, forever – I would be so content. That’s all I want in this world” Then, I realized…. That is the one thing I have been given. Everything else in this world – all the worries, stresses and problems are just that… in this world. The one thing, the only thing I really want is the one thing my Heavenly Father actually gave me. At that moment, I had an overwhelming sense of love for the plan, for Ryan, for everything I have been taught. I know its not valentines day…and I know Ryan will just die when he reads this… but I had to write down a few things I love about that guy.

I love all the nick names he comes up for me… I don’t know where they come from or how he makes them sound so nice. Bunts, Walter, Love, Runtza, Pa-tot, etc. Honestly, there is a new one everyday. But I love the way he says them – I know exactly what he means when they come out.

I love when we are mountain biking, running, hiking, or snowboarding – I’ll tell him I’m tired… and I want to quit. When I do that he quietly picks up the pace…. Somehow he knows my competitive side and he taps into it to keep me going.

I love the way he looks when no one is around. When, he thinks he’s all alone and he is just thinking… He has the best face when he is just thinking.

I love how he is always trying to scare me. It doesn’t matter how often I catch him trying or even if he knows – I know – he’s there… He keeps it up…

I love how when I’m trying to be tuff and lift something really heavy… He’ll come over to help…just help cuz he knows I can do it:) and all of a sudden I find I’m not even carrying it anymore.

I love how in the morning he doesn’t shake or nudge me to wake me up … He will quietly rub my hands until I slowly wake up.

I love when I am wrong… When I am, he always tells me. He doesn’t get mad or fight with me… he explains his side. Once I have listened… I realize I’m a better person. He widens my horizons and opens up new ways of thinking.

Thanks Ry, for always being there to help me out, lift me up, make me laugh and make me better. Love ya!
