February 24, 2009

So this last week was my birthday… yes week. It was totally awesome - between my family and Ry’s my B-Day lasted from February 15th – 22nd.  I had such a great time with family, wonderful food and great presents. Thank you so much everyone for being so thoughtful, fun and sweet. I really appreciated everyone’s B-day wishes…it made turning 26 (downword slide to 30) a blast!

Love you all! Thanks again!

The other night, I was awake in bed. Ryan and fallen asleep so fast – he had spent the day snowboarding and then went running with me that evening… He was tuckered.  As I lay on his chest I thought… “I wish I could just freeze time – If I could just stay with him; like this, forever – I would be so content. That’s all I want in this world” Then, I realized…. That is the one thing I have been given.  Everything else in this world – all the worries, stresses and problems are just that… in this world. The one thing, the only thing I really want is the one thing my Heavenly Father actually gave me. At that moment, I had an overwhelming sense of love for the plan, for Ryan, for everything I have been taught.  I know its not valentines day…and I know Ryan will just die when he reads this… but I had to write down a few things I love about that guy.

  • I love all the nick names he comes up for me… I don’t know where they come from or how he makes them sound so nice.  Bunts, Walter, Love, Runtza, Pa-tot, etc. Honestly, there is a new one everyday. But I love the way he says them – I know exactly what he means when they come out.

  • I love when we are mountain biking, running, hiking, or snowboarding – I’ll tell him I’m tired… and I want to quit. When I do that he quietly picks up the pace…. Somehow he knows my competitive side and he taps into it to keep me going.

  • I love the way he looks when no one is around. When, he thinks he’s all alone and he is just thinking…  He has the best face when he is just thinking.

  • I love how he is always trying to scare me. It doesn’t matter how often I catch him trying or even if he knows – I know – he’s there… He keeps it up…

  • I love how when I’m trying to be tuff and lift something really heavy… He’ll come over to help…just help cuz he knows I can do it:) and all of a sudden I find I’m not even carrying it anymore.

  • I love how in the morning he doesn’t shake or nudge me to wake me up … He will quietly rub my hands until I slowly wake up.

  • I love when I am wrong… When I am, he always tells me. He doesn’t get mad or fight with me… he explains his side. Once I have listened… I realize I’m a better person. He widens my horizons and opens up new ways of thinking.

Thanks Ry, for always being there to help me out, lift me up, make me laugh and make me better. Love ya!

Seven Things About US!

October 12, 2008

Julie tagged us and since its a Saturday Night… and everyone we hang out with has kids who go to sleep at 9:00 p.m. …we have a little time to do nothing…So here are our answers!

7 things we plan to do before we die:

1. Get a sail boat and cruise around all by ourselves…
2. See the Bronco’s play from Row 1.
3. Work a job where we can spend at least 4 days a week doing what we want! (i.e. Mt Biking, Snowboarding, Running, Backpacking, etc…) And do it soon enough to still enjoy it!
4. Travel anywhere outside of driving distance.
5. Back country camping in Yellowstone.
6. Successfully train a dog…Basin has been a failure (not our fault…retarded dog:)
7. Sleep just once and wake up not tired.

7 things we can do:

1.   Scare the sh*% out of little kids in our haunted house

2.   Make each other laugh. (i.e. answer number 1)

3.   Mountain bike Jackson Hole and anywhere in Utah!

4.   Snowboard, Mt. Bike, Backpack…anything outdoors…we aint scared!

5.   Remodel a house…we have proof!

6. Spell…it takes both of us…but together we can!

7. Always find something to fix…anywhere

7 things we cannot do:

1. Sit around on a sunny day….
2. Golf (this year!)
3. Make wordpress work right!
4. Say no to Cora, Gracie, or Wells
5. Train a dog – Yep you all guessed it Basin had a bad day… We are still deciding if we are going to let her inside…
6. Work a solid 8.
7. Let an any other person/backpacker/mt biker pass us on the trail.

7 things that attract Ryan to Bridget and Bridget to Ryan…

1. Bridget: “Ryan’s awesome snowboading skills.”
2. Ryan: “Bridget’s 67 Mustang”
3. Bridget: “Ryan’s blue eyes”
4. Ryan: “Bridget’s soccer goal last night”
5. Bridget: ” when it comes to projects… Ryan’s hard working attitude”
6. Ryan: “the total package”
7. Bridget: “Dido…head to toe”

7 things we say most often.

1. Damit. (Sorry Mom…but I do…)
2. I hate that Van…move your stupid van! (our neighbors park infront of our house)
3. What should we do?
4. Ryan: “Will you scratch my back?”
5. Basin come here! (repeated 50 times)
6. I miss Mike…
7. Lets go to Disneyland!

7 Celebrity admirations

1. If Julie skipped it so can we! But we do love Michael from the office…

7 Favorite foods

1. Jon’s pumpkin pancakes.
2. Diet Dr. Pepper
3. Sausage…but we don’t want to marry it like Cora…
4. Cafe Rio or Bajio
5. Today its Ruby River.
6. Home made salsa… we are out Mom
7. Chocolate.

7 people we think should do this.

1.   Billy and Lacie

2.   Summer, Dave and Gracie

3.   Kaitlin and Brian
